Fall Season Start Date

• The U4-U14 Divisions tentative start date is February 24, 2023.
• U15+ Divisions tentative start date is March 16, 2024.
  

Team Information

• Practices:
  • Coaches determine practice times and locations.
  • Practices are usually 1-2 times per week on week nights.
  • U4 division teams practice on Saturdays for 30 mins before the 30 minute game.
• Games:
  • Most games are played on Saturday mornings or afternoons between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Occasional games may be scheduled on weeknights and or Sunday afternoons depending on schedule and weather conflicts.
  • All U4-U10* games are played at the North Lakes Soccer Complex.
  • Travel teams (usually U11 and older) will play half of the games at North Lakes Soccer Complex and the other half at other nearby associations such as Lewisville, Corinth, Coppell, Carrolton, and Little Elm. *Travel teams are based on how many teams are formed in the age division. If there are not enough  teams in the division then all teams will be placed into the travel league. If there are enough teams then the teams will not travel and will play all games in Denton.*
• Teams are formed by age and school and/or area code.
• Players may request to play with a friend if they have never registered with an association but placement with the requested teammate is not guaranteed due to roster limitations, previous participation, and team formation rules. 
• Unless otherwise requested, players will be kept with the same team. If the whole team does not return, returning players will be kept together, if possible. 
• If you are a returning player and wish to be placed back in the player pool and reassigned a team, please select the "No, I do not want to return to my Fall 2023 team - place my player on a new team this season," when asked "If you are a returning player, would you prefer to return to your previous team (if possible)?"

Player Equipment

1. Jewelry is NOT allowed. For the safety of all players, all items of jewelry (earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc.) are not allowed and must be removed.  Using tape to cover jewelry is not allowed.
   
   
2.  Ball - Every player should have their own ball.
   1. U4 thru U8 groups - Size 3
   2. U9 thru U12 groups - Size 4
   3. U13 and over groups - Size 5
      
3. Shinguards: Mandatory and required for all practices and games.
   
   
4. Shoes: Gym shoes, tennis shoes, or soccer boots must be worn by all players. All footwear must be of soft toe and have no metal studs (screw-ins) or any other exposed metal. Football and baseball cleats are not allowed.
   
   
5. Water Bottle: Players should have a water bottle at all practices and games.
   
   
6. Uniforms: U4 players receive a team shirt. U5 through U19 players receive a full kit including a jersey, shorts and socks. Kits are provided in the Fall and are to be used again for the following Spring season.

Player Birth Year Validation

All Player Birth years must be verified by an official Government document (Birth Certificate, passport, etc.). The players birth certificate must be uploaded to the account upon registration or submitted via email to the Registrar two weeks prior to the season start date. Please note, if you upload the player's birth certificate during registration, you do not need to add it to the GotSport player profile.

All players are assigned by their BIRTH YEAR. If your player was born in 2020, they can play in the U4 Division. If your player was born in 2005, they will play in the DSA U19 Division.

Accepted Payment Methods

Online payment available by credit/debit card. If you are going to pay by cash, check, or money order, continue to register online then you MUST come in to the office to make payment. Registration is NOT processed until FULL payment is received at the office.

We accept Visa, Master Card, Cash, or Check.
If paying with Check or Cash, register your player online; however, payment must be made at the office during posted office hours.

Financial Assistance

To request financial assistance, please fill out the online Scholarship Request form by January 5.  Requests after January 5 may not be accepted for review.

DSA Refund Policy

• To request a refund, please fill out the online Refund Request Form. 
•  Families will be issued a full refund, if requested, prior to regular registration ending (January 12) or if a player cannot be placed on a team due to not enough players registering.
• Once players are placed on a team, partial refunds will be issued. DSA will retain the uniform fee and the admin fee.
• Refund requests after January 26 are not eligible for a full refund and may not receive a partial refund.
• No refunds will be made in cash.
• Refund and cancellation requests must be sent to the board and come from the registering account. Refund requests will not be honored through coach or other team officials.
• Please note, there is $3.00 non-refundable transaction fee for every order.
