Dear SSA Families,
Welcome to the Fall 2017 Southern Soccer Academy soccer season!
Next week sees the start of practices for the majority of our U5 and above programs across our various locations (our U4s aren't starting for a few weeks yet, so more information will be sent to our U4 families shortly), so we wanted to send out some updates:
Practice Schedule/Location:
If you have a child in a U5 or older program and if it hasn’t happened already, you should shortly be receiving an email from your team’s volunteer-coach with details on practice times and field number/location. This practice schedule information will also be posted under ‘Schedules’ on the menu bar above, along with a link to a page that shows the layout of the fields for your practice, just so you can find your way to the correct field that first evening of practice!
Game Schedules:
Our administrators are now working on the regular-season game schedule, and those details for all U14 and younger age groups should be posted by Aug 29th onto the same ‘Schedules’ tab on the website.
If your child is in a U16 or above age group though, please be aware that while practice schedules will be posted very soon for the majority of locations, we are still waiting on Georgia Soccer (the state governing body) to release the divisional game match-ups, since these games are scheduled by the state, not by individual clubs. As soon as the schedules are released though, we will publish them online onto the ‘Schedules’ page!
New Uniforms This Season:
Just a reminder that if you have been accepted to a U5 or older team, please also be sure to click on 'Uniform' on the menu bar above to purchase your game shirts, shorts, and socks so you have them in time for the start of the season, which, for the majority of our U5 and above teams, will be September 9th. Please note that our game shirts are a completely new design (Nike) and color for this season compared with last season, so please be sure to order the new ones even if you still have any old Adidas game shirts! Some sizes are on backorder though, so our online supplier is trying to fill these orders ASAP.

If you click on ‘Programs' above then 'U4-U19 Rec Soccer’, you will see another tab titled ‘Parent Resources’. Whether you are a returning family, or a family new to the club, this page will provide plenty of information about our soccer programs and how to get the most out of them!
